June 2001: Charlie Flynn, the head of the Erie County Independence Party, and someone frequently critisized in my writings, decided that he would convince the District Attorney to prosecute me for an 11th time. This time the charge was faxual harrasement. That's right. As a journalist I often write about things and fax them all over town. I'm slow at technology, so this is high-tech for me to be faxing things. While the faxes are always accurate in detail, apparently Flynn and the DA think journalists shouldn't publish certain facts. If you have the time and stomach, read all the pages and remember that tax dollars have paid an Asst. District Attorney to build this case against a taxpayer. Sometimes I think this kind of thing could only happen in the deep south, out of the mainstream. But increasingly I feel this stuff can only happen in Buffalo. Thankfully, the Judges have agreed with me in the past and will this time also.
You can also read the original City Hall Watch fax that apparently cause Flynn so much anquish. Also, in doing my research for my defense of this case, Charlie Flynn's background has been checked. A simple newspaper search turned up a boatload of increadible documents that would indicate that the case against me is similiar to others he has filed.
