In Buffalo, more than anywhere, there is a growing need for media accountability.

In this space I'll try to add some perspective to the local media scene in Buffalo.

Illuzzi Tries Last-ditch Effort to Avoid Money owed to Daughter
Illuzzi's child non-support case will go before a jury & Judge Kmiotek in September. It makes one wonder, why does something so important take so long? Illuzzi owes child support going back nearly to the birth of his now 7 year old daughter, totalling about $50,000. Clearly, now having no mother . . . and a dubious father, she needs stability in her life. Is this matter dragging on because Illuzzi, a favorite of politicians, has political protection?

He was obviously energized by his appearance in Court (ADA Kelly Omel, defense David Jay) on Tuesday AM. Yesterday he took on his arch enemy Buffalo News (who he owes $2,000 for unpaid ads) with new venim. Giving the appearance that he was interviewing Donn Esmonde (dubious journalistic ethics, but who's watching?) , he attacked Esmonde's support of Giambra's plan for the zoo.

And while denying that Nanula ever funded him he profusely praised Nanula for his proposal in 1997 to bolster ECC City Campus . . & not since, Nanula was too busy running for NYS Comptroller while proving himself math-challenged in Buffalo.

And, of course, Illuzzi-paid Niagara County correspondent Farina wrote about Orchard Park's school vote, speaking of regional govt.!

Interestingly, Farina's alleged roommate in that one bedroom apartment at 849 Delaware (apt 401) Gary Parenti, has quietly closed his office as Sheldon Silver's WNY Representative adjacent to Hoyt's in the Donovan Building. He is now at Dem. Hdqrs. working for Pigeon. Until very recently Parenti LIVED WITH Pigeon in Pigeon's waterfront condo, FORMERLY OWNED BY NANULA.
Why is this man laughing? Joe Illuzzi exits court in Cheektowaga earlier this year after getting a delay in his court proceedings to pay his $50,000 deadbeat dad payment. His latest and last ditch effort will now take place September 19, 2002, with a jury trial.

Now sharing one bedroom with Farina, Parenti won't return our phone calls to learn more about all this.

Does this look like too much 'incest' in WNY politics to you? And how does Farina's longtime wife in N. Tonawanda (Farina gave her the house for $1) feel about this younger man in her husband's life?

The Board of Elections is convinced that Farina lives with Parenti

(And that BMHA Assist Exec Tom Wms lives with his mother-in-law on West Ave. not in Clarence with his wife. And that David Dale lives in his office on Fillmore, not in his longtime home at 5121 William in Lancaster with his girlfriend)

These guys are our leaders. They wouldn't break the law would they?
And those well-paid Commissioners at the Bd of Elections wouldn't just wink at lying leaders, would they?

PS. There is a report that the staff of the Citizen Rights & Human Relations Commission is AFRAID OF ME, and sought a warrant for my arrest, finally settling to just have me BANNED for 90 days from their 17th flr.offices. All because I complained that the $63,700 director was not monitoring police internal affairs as required by Charter, as the FBI & Federal Courts are exposing nationally serious police misconduct, but then their $37,000 "investigator" is close to DARE Officer Quintana, who must have told her about my child molesting, stalking his 17 yr. old live-in chief-of-staff while Councilman, etc.

In a "Worst Governed City" who cares about "citizen rights", "freedom of speech", & "petitioning the govt for redress of grievances" anyway?
