He paid $4,000 for it and sold it for $46,000 in 1997. He did some rehab, but made at least $25,000 on the sale. (There are now 6 distressed houses within a stone's throw of me, including 348 Baynes, 2 doors away, assessed $90,000 in 1995, currently assessed $48,000, but Stovroff is asking $7,590 in foreclosure . . a mere 17% of new reduced assessed value).

Parlato 'followers' Chas. & Wm. King were just sentenced by Arcara for their scam, which did not include their 'business address' at 296 Baynes (several doors from NYS atty Gen top aide Barbra Kavanaugh), foreclosed by HUD in 1999 for $103,000 & resold for $8,000 (HUD loss $95,000 plus) as Greg Fina, ESQ, city hearing officer & WSNHS Vice Chair held the mortgage from 1990 until King's sale in 1996 . . . giving strong appearance he helped launch a major Parlato-style housing scam.

Interestingly, Cleveland Fleming, father of Parlato-supporter, & scammer in his own right, Ron Fleming, just bought 304 Baynes (2 doors from Fina's old house) for $64,000 . . far above Baynes values. Is it another scam?

You have long defended Parlato, after earlier attacking him in a 1992 report following a disastrous (corrupt?) Parlato project (Neighbors Inc?) in which we were both briefly involved(ONe of several times I was duped by Parlato!).

In a 2 page letter to Common Council dated Dec. 22, 1997, you alleged that Mike Kuzma "fabricated" an interview with you. You allege: "After 3 years of investigating Parlato at taxpayer expense, Franczyk's team has not been able to substantiate their charges . . furthermore I support Frank Parlato Jr's suggestion that a third party conduct a formal review of F.P. Jr's Real estate activities so that these charges against him can once & for all be put to rest. The real issue here is a govt. official using the apparatus of the state to torment & harass a private citizen. I believe this is called Tyranny."

Yet, you came to Buffalo Beat (now Blue Dog ) in a Parlato coup when I planned an analysis of Parlato's own data on 'successful" West Side sales (9 of 15 in distress 3 years later) & his Roebling Ave sales, where 10 of 11 buyers suffered foreclosure, as values plummeted on 2 blocks . . as the third block where he sold no houses, remained rather stable.

He threatened a lawsuit if there were "errors" (he had my copy; he, or you could have corrected them). The story was killed, he was given 'my' City Hall Watch column . . as you, ironically began a Media Follies column.

And Parlato & Olma clearly made a deal . .deadly Parlato was removed from www.GregOlma.org (the real Olma) in return for removal of GregOlma.com . . .& reduced Parlato attacks on Olma, perhaps?
