GUILTY: Quintana, Pitts, Clark, & Runfola
. . . “OF LOVING TOO MUCH!”
Having been prosecuted 7 X by DA Clark in behalf of ‘Quintana Crime Family’, & suffering my first-ever black eye at their hands, I am a sort of Quintana expert. News of Quintana’s arrest for assaulting his ex-fiancee’ Millie Castro in their Benedict House Compound was poetic justice . . . & amusing. Seeing quintessential Quintana, we are told his phone call from jail went to his new cop-girlfriend, urging her rescue of his new Jaguar from Plymouth & Jersey. But she got there too late. It was already ‘cuffed’ by police. (could fear of that possibility have caused his heart pains?)
The QUINTANA ICEBERG Less amusing & less poetic is review of people in high places who nurtured & supported Quintana’s criminal enterprise before it came crashing down. Most guilty are Council Pres. James Pitts & Erie Co. D A Frank Clark . .with Pitts-appointee to the Human Relations Commission Ross T. Runfola Esq. close behind. Proving correctness of Hannah Arendt’s terms “silence of respectable society” & “banality of evil”, there were 125 (silent) witnesses to Pitts & Quintana orchestrating a telling scene in Council Chambers in Sept, 1998 (at a public hearing on BMHA’s double [patronage] staffing). Pitts & Quintana both arrived late, then conferred at length. Upon my turn to speak, Pitts disappeared & Quintana shouted, “He’s a child molester, scum, slumlord! He shouldn’t be allowed to speak!” Only chair Fontana’s insistence on ‘free speech’ enabled me to begin. But Quintana orchestrated unison clapping by (patronage) BMHA workers. Upon my giving up trying to speak, Quintana lunged at me, yelling 2X, “Get the Fuck out!” Staff restrained him as I left the chambers.
That very public incident witnessed by many Council members, HUD & BMHA officials did not deter Frank Clark from repeatedly prosecuting me on incredible charges. The prosecutions were always carried out under Clark’s personal direction, by “Quality of Life Crimes” Prosecutor, Assist. DA Mike Drmacich. Drmacich had also prosecuted me 3X for exposing non-residency of then-Treasurer Mayilyn Smith (& Masiello crony Rev. BW Smith).
Charges were as incredible as my waiting outside Quintana’s house for his 17yr.old-live-in-legislative aide (Maria Padilla, Millie’s daughter). Failing to catch her on my bicycle as she drove her car, I allegedly repeatedly returned to try again. At issue, of course, was exposure of his relationship with her since age 14 & other teenage girls (he has recently been stationed as DARE Officer at Grover Cleveland HS, a potential time bomb. He was transferred from the WS as a cop to S Buffalo, when accused 10 yrs. ago by parents of harassing their teenage daughter.)
The Clark Question Clark’s persistent prosecutions, despite his intimate knowledge of underlying “Quintana family” problems raises serious questions about integrity of the DA. Clark was Assist. DA 14 yrs ago when another boyfriend of Millie Castro, popular fireman Geo., McNichols, died in a firebomb attack on her house. Millie spent months recovering from burns. Hispanic leaders allege it was retaliation for her drug dealing at the time, but McNichols also just consulted a lawyer about his possible connection to a major armored truck robbery in Rochester.
All 10 prosecutions of me by Clark & Drmacich (different judges each time) were dismissed. Meanwhile Pitts & Runfola formed a troubling alliance with Quintana. When his son Robert Jr. was picked in LaSalle Park with others kid smoking pot, Pitts, Runfola & Quintana held a high profile press conference calling for FBI investi-gation of the cops, laughable because Robert Jr. was a known pot smoker whose flaunting Quintana’s name escalated a minor incident. The FBI exonerated police. Son Joshua was also arrested yesterday, demanding a midnight Quintana jail-visit.
FROSTEE FUN COLA Runfola & his daughter Jennifer defended Eddie Padilla, (Maria’s father brought to Buffalo by Quintana & given a patronage job at Shea's) when he assaulted me & stole my bike opposite Quintana’s house 2 summers ago. Quintana & Millie C. had me arrested & jailed (stripped naked because “crazy” per Quintana) when I called 911. Runfola threatened Buffalo Beat with legal action if I wrote about him. And he was in court yesterday, representing Quintana. He refuses to discuss his suborning free speech violations while a Human Rights Commissioner.
Free Gary Mooney! James Pitts has repeatedly showed his disdain for free speech as well. He did nothing about Quintana’s efforts to “ban” me from city hall reported in Buffalo News, where he de facto banned me from the 14th fl. harassing me whenever he saw me there. Quintana followed me into Byron Brown’s office a day after a protective order was issued against Eddie Padilla. He punched me in the face, but Brown’s aide committed perjury in court & left town. Later Jimmy the Finger Pitts posed in Buffalo Beat, his smiling, erect-finger response to my criticism. Now he has had Gary Mooney expelled from Council Chambers for ‘felony videotaping’. Will Pitts, Clark & Runfola also have to answer for their “loving (Quintana) too much”?
