This is the latest HUD foreclosure of the Kings’ (Chas. H. & Wm. R. King, who now use their middle names “Howard” & “Ralph” . . .no last names, like “CHER”) “Barons Development” FHA Scam.

It all officially began at 296 Baynes when Attorney Greg Fina sold his house & moved to Euclid Ave., Kenmore in 1990 while lying about his non-residency as a city hearing officer. He held the mortgage til the Kings sold the house for $84,000 in Sept. 1996. It went into HUD foreclosure a mere 27 months later (4/99) at $103,635. It resold in 10/99 for $8,001, A HUD LOSS OF OVER $95,000 ON ONE KING BROS’ HOUSE.

Incredibly, Greg Fina., Esq. is Vice Pres. of West Side Neighborhood Housing Service, long closely tied to the “Perla (& Masiello) Machine” where Fina is a ‘lieutenant’. Fina handled the 1995 move from WS Lafayette Ave. to Clarence of BMHA Assist. Exec. Thomas A. Williams, paid $76,000 with a mere GED. Williams, who has an in-ground pool & a sylvan pond on Thompson Rd., claims to live with his mother-in-law on devastated West Ave., even listing a phone there (881-1949; 1258 West) there.

Freund St. is doomed because virtually every housing scammer in Buffalo is working the once attractive, but modest street. The Kings' new “Front Man” is John Early (they work behind the scenes as ‘Howard’ & ‘Ralph’ since their conviction by US Atty. before Judge Arcara in Sept., fined $273,000) who heads up their new scam called Suriel Development (565-0542).

They own other houses on Freund, one by John’s wife Grecia Madera Early. They recently bought 84 Freund from HUD for $13,000 in on 10/3/01 Their average ‘mark-up’ is now $40,000 & no longer use HUD-insured mortgages. The scam relies on inflated appraisals, 5 gallons of white flat paint, cheap carpeting, & a Las Vegas 'Charity' which "gifts" the Kings' own money back as a so-called "grant" toward very high interest mortgages by less than honest lenders. Buyers will lose big! Watch for more.
