Police Corruption . . . too big to touch?
The city Commission on Citizen Rights holds its monthly meeting, Thursday Oct. 4. After repeated requests to the Commission for review of police accountability mechanisms, I testified at the recent, abysmally attended Policing Hearing at Hispanics United about repeated criminal acts by DARE-cop-on-leave, then-Councilman Robert Quintana & his crime family (who filed 30 false charges against me for reporting their misconduct as journalist-activist). Commission members listened in strained silence. Obviously, it is too big to touch.
Quintana-misconduct, including repeated harassment & 'banning' me from "his' 14th fl., was fully supported by Council Pres. Pitts & Commission member Ross T. Runfola, ESQ. And DA Clark (& ADA Drmacich) prosecuted me 7X for Quintana on utterly false charges (all dismissed). Repeated efforts to get Police Professional Standards to intervene were rejected. It is "government of men, not laws". Ordinary citizens in Buffalo cannot expect justice when abused by the rich & powerful. It is the reason many citizens, especially minorities, distrust police Internal Affairs (euphemistically called "Professional Standards") My being a visible role model of 'activism'. . Repeatedly prosecuted on false charges for reporting corruption, despite having a very effective [affordable] lawyer. . has a chilling impact on free speech. It is too costly for most citizens to speak out. That sense of powerlessness breeds rage, leading to some resorting to extreme measures that endanger all.
Is the Commission, appointed by the very same Pitts & Masiello who long neglected civil rights enforce-ment in city government, able to address unaccountable police & politicians? WATCH FOR MORE

On Tues. (June 16, 2PM, before newly-appointed Judge Volcy) I will be prosecuted the 11th time by "Quality of Life Crimes" Assistant DA Drmacich. The other 10 prosecutions were all dismissed.
The last 7 prosecutions were for then-Councilman-cop-on-leave Quintana, recently convicted of "harassment" by the very 'fiancé' who filed many of 30 "complaints" against me. My bicycle is still missing from Aug. 1999 when then-Quintana-goon Eddie Padilla threw me down & beat me opposite Quintana's house, as Quintana called 911. Upon calling 911 for help, I was arrested, stripped naked because "crazy" per Quintana, jailed 17 hrs, released on probation, & hired a lawyer (for $1500). "stalking" charges were dismissed, as a friend seeking witnesses got 3 death threat phone calls from Q's fiancé'. Drmacich admits a witness confirming my account of the assault. Ironically, it was Eddie Padilla, JR, who just filed the harassment complaint against his "stepfather"
Also ironic is the statement of Quintana's lawyer-friend Ross T Runfola, ESQ, (Pitts-appointee to the Human Relations Commission, who defended Eddie Padilla convicted of harassing me), that there is no "domestic" relationship with Millie Castro after 9 yrs. (& Q's adoption of Millie's child Robert, Jr). Runfola blasted the media for a "frenzy" over Q, as he & Pitts called a high profile press conference demanding FBI investigation of cops picking up Q's son & others smoking pot (with brass knuckles) in LaSalle Park in 1998. Runfola called armed-with-brass-knuckles-Robert Jr a "gentleman", the same term he now uses for Q. (The FBI exonerated the cops, as Q now pled guilty to harassment). 10/4 NOTE: Robt. Jr. now has a child support judgment filed with the County Clerk.
Perjurers Praying for Perjurers The first 3 Drmacich prosecutions were for my exposing non-residency of then-City Treasurer Marilyn & Rev BW Smith (live at 292 Red Oak Wmsville, since 87). Interestingly, Rev. BW committed perjury in clerical collar, testifying for his wife, shortly before praying on national TV at the hockey rink for our "First Perjurer". Making the case for TV cameras in court as potential entertainment, Treas. Smith dramatically played the 'race card', accusing my calling her 'black bitch', lurking in bushes near her W. Ferry apt.( overlooking dumpster, never lived there), terrorizing her as she spilled groceries in the parking lot, & her fleeing to the manager's office (closed) for protection. Then she fled the courtroom in tears. She was fired upon discovery of $12 million of checks under her desk, as I was serving a 35 day sentence for "failure to evict" my tenant from the 26th house to be demolished on Sweet Ave. No connection, I'm sure, to my threatened "citizen's arrest" of the Treas. 2 hrs before the court hearing (before then-Housing Judge Broderick)
ParlatoIlluzziMasielloFlynnNanulaPitts Watch Drmacich accepted 9 pg. of "complaints" from Charles Flynn June 5. The charges pretty much are "felony FAXing" & "harassment by bicycle". Drmacich documents fairly well scores of City Hall Watch faxes & emails I routinely send to 100's of public officials, media & community leaders. Mistaking Flynn for a community leader, I sent faxes to his Erie Reloc. Realty office, also serves as Indep. Party Hdqtrs. (perhaps not for long, He reportedly is behind on the rent, as well as child support).
Guilty as charged I do confess to vigorously exercising 1st Amendment Freedom of Speech & Press. Harassment by bicycle is a different matter. I've never been near Pomona. (S. Buffalo is dangerous?!) I've enclosed May 14 City Hall Watch. Could the contents have any bearing on prosecution #11? Is Flynn (& others?) worried about my bicycle, or my pen? Or is the rumor true that DA Clark has suspended the First Amendment? You be da' Judge!
